Ans: Yes, the Cottage is on two levels. The upper level is for all day living and entertainment. The lower level has bedrooms. The total built up area is approx. 3,500 sq. Ft. 

Ans: The cottage gets a generous amount of sunlight throughout the day and yet being in the shadow of Mukteshwar hillis well protected from violent winds and other harsh elements of nature.

Ans: The cottage has been built in colonial style with sloping roof, wood and stone providing the dominant exterior look. Inside it has wooden beams and a wooden roof with stone and texture paint on the walls. The flooring is mainly solid wood with stone at some places. The Kitchen,Terrace and Bathrooms have ceramic tiles on walls/floor.

Ans: The Estate has been used by the owners as their hill retreat. The main gate falls on the Ramgarh- Sitla road. The main entrance of the cottage, which has access from the driveway on this level, leads to an entrance lobby. Right of the entrance leads to the Kitchen and Dining room, straight leads to the drawing room and to the left leads toBilliards/ pool area which is an extension of the drawing room.A set of light open wooden steps lead to an Atticwhich is cut out from the roof. Both the Drawing and Dining rooms open up into a very large terrace (overlooking the Ranikhet Valley).The Attic serves as a serene study/ make- shiftbed room (good for two people). The drawing room has a 42” TV, a live fireplace and a sloping glass window forstargazing.There is a toilet/shower room on this floor. The division of the drawing room and dining room is a set of wooden stairs which leads to the lower level.

Ans: The stairs from the upper level land in the Lounge on the lower level which doubles up as abed room as well (has a sofa cum bed and shears railing on roof to provide privacy when being used as a bed). Each side of this lounge has a Bedroom with attached bathrooms (one bathroom has an access from the lounge as well). There is a large store room on this level.All the areas open out into a beautiful wooden deck. This deck is also on the ground level of the landscaped terraces and is overlooking the Valley. The Master bed room has a baywindowwhichhasstoragecum bedanddoublesupasanextrasinglebed.Both the Bed rooms have roof to floor windows aiding an uninterrupted view of the valley or the serenehorticulture.

Ans: There is a staff outhouse with one Bedroom, Kitchen and Toilet.  There is another store room with an access from outside.
